Although I was not at ECCV, my good old friend Professor Weinman was there (His pendulum was pointing East :D ). He shared his list of papers-to-see with me.
* Learning to Localize Objects with Structured Output Regression (Best student paper)
* Learning Spatial Context: Using Stuff to Find Things (Best paper) -- see previous post on papers from ECCV
* The Naked Truth: Estimating Body Shape Under Clothing (catchy :) )
* Improving People Search Using Query Expansions: How Friends Help To Find People (related to People-LDA) -- see previous post on papers from ECCV
* SIFT Flow: Dense Correspondence across Different Scenes (flashiest and most interesting paper, at least from "neat-o" standpoint)
* Discriminative Sparse Image Models for Class-Specific Edge Detection and Image Interpretation (Training class specific Pb (edge detector) to help object detection)
* Learning Optical Flow (Hail MRF!)
* Beyond Loose LP-relaxations: Optimizing MRFs by Repairing Cycles (better optimization than graph cuts, sincere request to the authors to make the code available)
Thanks Jerod!
